We categorize Data Recovery to 3 levels depends on the damage in order to make it cost effective. Walk-in our store, we will give you a price and take you through the process of Data Recovery.
Level 1 means the hard drive is still 100% fully functional. It is recognized by the computer and if the
user was to reformat their hard drive they would be able to continue to use it, albeit without their
original data.
Level 2 (Local) Recovery – Applies when a hard drive is not mechanically defective or physically damaged, but either the drive cannot be “seen” by the computer (or by Windows) or the data can be “seen” but not read by Windows, indicating that the data or file system is corrupt. Level 2 data recovery involves PCB firmware issue, stuck head, hard Drive PCB issues.
Level 3 means the hard drive will require extensive cleanroom work to enable any recovery.
Typical level 3 recoveries involve head crashes where the drive’s heads have come into contact with the disk surfaces. This usually causes damage to the both the disks and the heads. level 3 data recovery involves lab environment work like Head stack assembly replacement, Platter cleaning.
